Dear Language editor, Thanks for the edits. We have followed your suggestions, but there was one point where we suspect a minor misunderstanding and another one where we were not quite sure about your change: 1. You removed the "and" in the second sentence of the abstract so that it reads "in the two hemispheres, at small and large scales". This then suggests that the two aspects are synonymous, which is not the case. We have now replaced "and" by "as well as" and we have added "both" and twice "between", so that the entire sentence reads "A fundamental test for its significance in the solar dynamo is to look for magnetic helicity of opposite signs both between the two hemispheres as well as between small and large scales". 2. On page 5, line 10, you wrote "that is," but your marking covered ", i.e.", so it seemed you wanted us to remove the first comma. We decided, however, to keep it, so we changed "small-scale limit, i.e., we focus" to "small-scale limit, that is, we focus".
