Running CVS through a ssh tunnel

• you first have to open a ssh connection between your laptop and the CVS server:

  ssh -L2401:localhost:2401 login_name@norlx51.albanova.se
  

• then your local CVSROOT variable must be changed in:

  :pserver:login_name@localhost:/var/cvs/brandenb
  

  You can use for that the simple change_CVS script:

  change_CVS :pserver:login_name@localhost:/var/cvs/brandenb
  

  Your CVS password at NORDITA will be asked for if it is the first time you are using this CVS tunnel.
• you are ready to use all the cvs commands.
